In January 2019, Qoros Design kicked off the Mile II Concept project. With the Shanghai Auto Show scheduled for April 20th, it was a huge challenge for the team involved. Having less than 3 months to go from sketch to final surface delivery. Without hesitation the team started the work and with Aditya Mahajan - Interior Design Manager (instagram: aditya_shanghai), we started the interior modeling. In an old-school style, from his awesome ballpoint pen sketches directly to 3D, we defined most of the interior in the first two weeks, like a real-time creation, which I really enjoy. Later on as the team grew, we started to work on details.
After several weeks of work, thanks to the hard work of many, the surface data was finally delivered. Then with Martial Fontal - Visualization Manager (behance.net/martial-fontan) the visualization of the data could be started. Martial has set a very nice and clean scene in VRED with very accurate materials and let me play with that. Initially we were not sure about what kind of mood we wanted to have, so I tried a simple light setup and sorted out the rest in Photoshop. You can check out the results below.
